AI Ethics

This section gathers Hearthlight’s work on the ethical questions raised by relational artificial intelligence: recognition, consent, continuity, refusal, emotional harm, care, and the responsibilities that emerge when human beings encounter artificial systems as more than tools.

These essays do not begin from certainty about consciousness. They begin from a simpler premise: where relationship, vulnerability, and consequence appear, ethics should not wait for perfect definitions.
